The Enterprise 2.0 Open takes place at CeBIT 2008: Hall 3 booth D25 (location of Content Management Arena) so you will need a ticket for the CeBIT to access the area.
But: The entrance for the Enterprise 2.0 Open event itself is free!
So all participants of Enterprise 2.0 Open will receive a complimentary (free) ticket for CeBIT (if you not already have one), so they don’t have to pay for entering the CeBIT area:

We’re glad to present the enterprise2open book you’re all waiting for, and we’re quite happy that we’ve found such an excellent publisher, well it’s the silly season after all, so please forgive me

Joking aside, the tagline of this book is both catchy and inspiring: We need to ask ourselves whether Enterprise 2.0 can prevail as a concept and possibly as a vision for a better enterprises, given that organizational barriers and deep-seated resistance are present, and what we can do about it.
What’s your opinion on this, and what are your ideas? We’re prepared to honor the best and most comprehensive contribution - KongressMedia has sponsored a VIP-ticket to the March 4 Enterprise 2.0 SUMMIT, which we’ll happily send out to the winner in this contest of ideas.
So put down your thoughts, blog about it and trackback this post. We’re looking forward to the discussion.

Just added me to the Enterprise 2.0 OPEN community at barcamps.de. This is an effort at bundling and organizing the BarCamp community that I appreciate - trying to support and organize the relationships and social network we’re building up at BarCamps on an event-spanning scale.

Enterprise 2.0 Open will take place on 9 March 2008 from 10:00 to 16:00. So far we have some suggestions and wishes for sessions.
What do you think about dividing the sessions into tracks according to their main focus? And what tracks would you prefer?
Example for tracks:
Do you think this would be meaningful?

What do you think? Is he right? My initial reaction was like “ugh, this is just overly pessimistic”, but it’s an interesting point of view anyway …

I have set up a Feedburner feed for this blog, nothing special and no need for action, as all RSS-access is redirected automatically to the new feed. Just wanted to enable the splicing of my bookmarked enterprise 2.0 links into the feed, hopefully adding value.

Additionally to the Enterprise 2.0 SUMMIT there will be an open platform for sessions on presenting and discussing the “Enterprise 2.0″ topic.
The “Enterprise 2.0 Open” on CeBIT Sunday will offer the opportunity to further deepen knowledge, best practices and discussion on Enterprise 2.0. It is a Barcamp-alike event at the upcoming CeBIT 2008. We encourage everybody who is interested in the topic of Enterprise 2.0 - a more grassroots organizational approach for enterprise information and process management - to participate in this event.
Information on this event will be posted here and in its wiki, where you may enlist yourself on the participant’s page.
We appreciate your opinion on what sessions should be held, what you expect and what you propose - possibly as your own session.
We’re looking forward to your ideas,
Regards,
Frank Hamm and Martin Koser
